The second edition of the IAO Congress, a society founded on 14 December 2015 from the confluence of two Scientific Societies, SICOI and SIO, was held on 19/20 October 2018 in Milan.
The event took place in the evocative setting of SuperStudio Milano, a complex of over 7,000 square metres, divided into 10 independent rooms all interconnected. The congress had as its theme the Digital Workflow in Implant Prosthetics and saw speakers of Italian and international renown follow one another on the impressive stage set up for the occasion. The scientific programme opened with the Lectio Magistralis of American guest speaker Scott Ganz, followed by, among others, Gaetano Calesini, Alessandro Pozzi, Alessandro Agnini, Francesco Galli, Giuseppe Luongo and Carlo Monaco.
Dr. Agnini, together with Alessandro Pozzi and Giuseppe Luongo, discussed the topic of Digital Workflow in Implantology, debating the benefits and limitations of guided surgery, virtual planning and digital prosthetic finalisation.
The congress was attended by more than 1,500 colleagues from all over Italy.
