From the 24 to 26 of February the Agnini Brothers were in Shangai at the ZimmerBiomet Institute to do a practical 3 days program on Implant Dentistry. The program focused on the fundamentals and current topics in Implantology which includes the use of treatment planning software to placement of implants in the esthetic zone as well as soft tissue and hard tissue management.
The program also aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding as well as hands on experience of the various components for different restorative treatment options.
Following the outline of the 3 days program:
DAY 1 FUNDAMENTALS IN IMPLANTOLOGY • Philosophy of practice in implantology • Patient selection • Immediate aesthetic implants • Hands on • Treatment planning with use of treatment planning software • Placement of implants in the aesthetic zone and posterior region • Immediate implant • Raising flaps • Suture techniques
DAY 2 Implantology with an end in mind • Criteria and management of the prosthetics • Guided bone regeneration • Hands on • Abutment selections • Temporary crowns • Impression taking • Placing implants with hard tissue and soft tissue management • Guided Bone Regeneration • Socket Preservation
DAY 3 Full Mouth Rehabilitation • Fundamentals in full mouth rehabilitation • Revitalize • Hands on • Surgical planning • Implant placement on edentulous models • Components in Revitalize • Construction of immediate temporary dentures
All the sessions were performed on the state of the art phantoms that ZB Institute provides, guaranteeing to the participants the most REAL didactic experience. The Agnini Brothers will probably be back in the facility for another program in the following months.
