After graduating in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis from the University of Catania, he obtained a master's degree in "Clinical Endodontics" at the University of Bologna in 2008.
In 2008 and 2011 he worked as a researcher at the Department of Oral Biology within the Medical College of Georgia (USA).
He cooperates with the University of Bologna and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
He is the author and co-author of various scientific publications in the field of endodontics and a relator at both national and international congresses.
In 2015 and 2017 he won the "Francisco Riitano" prize, assigned by the Italian Society of Endodontics for the best report about “Instrumentation, Innovation and Respect of the anatomy”.
He is an active Member of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE) and a Certified Member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE).
Member of the SIE Cultural Commission for the two-year period 2019-2020 and of the SIE Communication Commission for the two-year period 2021-2022.
